Celonis, a global leader in Process Intelligence and Process Mining technology, is seeking a Principal Enterprise Architect to design transformative solution architectures for enterprise customers. This high-impact role combines deep technical expertise with executive presence, requiring you to confidently engage C-level executives and translate strategic goals into actionable technical plans.
You will lead architecture, data, and cloud strategy for the company's largest client accounts, leveraging expertise in enterprise modernization and capability mapping. Your responsibilities include designing solutions that incorporate emerging technologies like Agentic AI, serving as a bridge between Celonis product/engineering teams and customer technical teams, and assessing IT landscape maturity across the regional customer base.
Key responsibilities include: leading pre-sales and post-sales technical engagements with customer architecture and security teams; coaching Celonis consulting teams and ecosystem partners on technical implementation; developing reusable assets and customer-facing position papers; creating technical designs and presentations for internal and client stakeholders; and driving innovation by identifying and architecting solutions leveraging emergent technologies.
You will support the sales team in achieving revenue goals by unlocking technical blockers and partnering with Sales, Value Engineering, Product Management, Data Ops, and Information Security teams. Success is measured by new customer acquisition rates, retention, upselling, and overall contribution to sales team and business success.
Required qualifications include 10-15 years of relevant experience (e.g., Software vendor Architect, CTO at top consulting firm, or Enterprise Architect at customer organization). You must demonstrate strategic thinking, connecting technical solutions to business value; excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to present complex concepts to C-level executives; demonstrated experience in Capability Mapping, Enterprise Modernization, and Agentic AI; strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, SaaS solutions, ERP systems (SAP, Salesforce, Dynamics, ServiceNow), cybersecurity fundamentals, and API ecosystems.
Additional requirements: strong background in Data Architecture, integration patterns, and development experience with data-related languages (SQL, Python); technical background focused on system integrations, data operations, and automation; ability to explain architecture diagrams and code/assemble demos; MSc in Computer Science or equivalent IT-related field; fluency in English (Swedish or Danish advantageous).
Preferred qualifications include Celonis certifications and experience with OCPM and Case Centric Data Pipelines; AWS/Azure/GCP certifications; ESB/ETL certifications (Mulesoft, Oracle, SAP, Talend, Informatica); TOGAF/Zachmann certification; and experience in Finance, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain domains.
