Celonis, a global leader in Process Intelligence and Process Mining technology, is seeking a Principal Enterprise Architect to design transformative solution architectures for enterprise customers. This high-impact role combines deep technical expertise with executive presence, requiring you to confidently engage C-level executives and translate their strategic goals into actionable technical plans.
You will lead architecture, data, and cloud strategy for the company's largest client accounts, leveraging expertise in enterprise modernization and capability mapping. Your responsibilities include designing solutions that incorporate emerging technologies like Agentic AI, serving as a bridge between Celonis product/engineering teams and customer technical teams, and assessing IT landscape maturity across the customer base.
Key responsibilities include: presenting to C-level executives and aligning their strategic objectives with Celonis technical strategy; driving innovation through emerging technology identification and solution architecture; coaching Celonis consulting teams and ecosystem partners on technical implementation; developing reusable assets and customer-facing position papers; and creating technical designs and presentations for internal and client stakeholders. You will support both pre-sales and post-sales phases, engaging with customer architecture and security teams.
Required qualifications include 10-15 years of relevant experience (software vendor architect, CTO at top consulting firm, or enterprise architect at customer organization). You must demonstrate strategic thinking, connecting technical solutions to business value; excellent communication skills with proven ability to present complex concepts to C-level executives; demonstrated experience in capability mapping, enterprise modernization, and Agentic AI; strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, SaaS solutions, ERP systems (SAP, Salesforce, Dynamics CRM, ServiceNow), cybersecurity, API ecosystems, and legacy on-premise architectures.
Additional requirements: strong background in data architecture, integration patterns, and development experience with data languages (SQL, Python); technical background in system integrations, data operations, and automation; ability to explain architecture diagrams and code/assemble demos; MSc in Computer Science or equivalent IT-related field; fluency in German and English (additional languages like Spanish, French, or Italian are advantageous).
Preferred qualifications include Celonis certifications and experience with OCPM and Case Centric Data Pipelines; AWS/Azure/GCP certifications; ESB/ETL certifications (Mulesoft, Oracle, SAP, Talend, Informatica); and TOGAF/Zachmann certification.
