Fin is an AI Customer Agent company providing enterprise customer support solutions. As Principal Engineer for Web Platform, you will own the technical architecture and long-term strategy for Fin's web properties (fin.ai and related sites), which serve as critical growth levers for storytelling, brand, experimentation, and product discovery.
You will shape the technical direction of the web platform, ensuring it is modern, performant, measurable, and delightful to build on. This is a cross-functional engineering leadership role partnering with marketing, analytics, design, data science, and product teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning and evolving the web platform architecture
- Defining long-term technical strategy focused on scalability, performance, developer productivity, observability, and reliability
- Leading design and implementation of MarTech systems including event tracking, attribution, funnel reporting, and A/B testing infrastructure
- Mentoring engineers across the team and organization on architecture, data modeling, and engineering best practices
- Setting standards for technical excellence in reliability, maintainability, and code quality
- Providing technical leadership to Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and executives
- Contributing hands-on to the codebase, leading by example
Required qualifications:
- 12+ years of software engineering experience
- Deep expertise in Next.js and React ecosystem
- Experience with headless CMS platforms (Contentful, Sanity)
- Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), AWS, CloudFront, S3, and Vercel
- Experience designing experimentation infrastructure and A/B testing frameworks
- Strong web analytics and data instrumentation knowledge
- Full-stack awareness with emphasis on frontend architecture
- Continuous delivery and incremental shipping experience
- Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills
- Proven mentorship and technical leadership track record
