Graphcore, a leader in AI computing systems and part of the SoftBank Group, is seeking a Principal Engineer for Power Electronics to define the architecture of power delivery components from grid to chip. This is a senior technical role focused on thought leadership and strategic planning across the entire power delivery ecosystem.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide thought leadership, planning, and design for power delivery from data center power drop through delivery to systems and chips
- Establish power roadmap and work with vendors to align their technological roadmaps with system engineering requirements
- Ensure that system engineering innovations are driven into vendor roadmaps
- Work to improve reliability and efficiency of power engineering components over time
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, firmware developers, and data center operations
- Ensure infrastructure meets customer requirements and attains standards of performance, reliability, and scalability
The role is based in Austin or San Jose and can be performed onsite or remotely within the US. You will be part of Graphcore's new AI Engineering Campus in Austin, which plays a central role in building the future of AI computing. This position requires deep expertise in power electronics, system architecture, and vendor management to drive innovation in specialized AI computing hardware.
