We seek a Principal Software Engineer to serve as the ultimate technical authority and multiplier across the engineering organization. This is a top-tier individual contributor role requiring extreme urgency, high business acumen, and unwavering commitment to simplicity.
Key responsibilities include: (1) Strategic & Executive Leadership—partner directly with VP of Engineering, C-Suite, and product leadership to translate ambitious company goals into lean, executable technical strategies; (2) AI Strategy & Culture—define and drive the company-wide AI development roadmap, establishing practices and tools to transform engineering into a hyper-efficient, AI-native development force; (3) Architecture & System Vision—own the overarching architectural vision of the platform, guiding long-term evolution while balancing rapid iteration with security, privacy, and uptime requirements schools demand; (4) Technical Excellence & Mentorship—elevate the engineering bar through architectural reviews, mentorship of Staff and Senior engineers, and modeling a culture of speed, rigor, and simplicity; (5) Cross-Functional Influence—serve as the technical voice in high-stakes conversations with key clients, partners, and executives to align technology with business objectives.
