Accrete AI is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the development of its AI platform. The role is based in Andheri East, Mumbai and requires a Ph.D. qualification.
Accrete is an agentic managed services company building an AI workforce that handles high-stakes, judgment-heavy work for government and enterprise clients at software economics. The company is focused on deploying AI agents capable of autonomous decision-making in complex, regulated environments.
As Principal Engineer, you will own the technical architecture and strategy for the core AI platform, including model serving, orchestration, safety/compliance frameworks, and integration with enterprise systems. You will guide a team of senior engineers, set technical standards, and drive innovation in agentic AI systems. This is a hands-on role where you will contribute directly to critical platform components while mentoring the engineering organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and evolving the full-stack AI platform architecture
- Leading technical decisions on model deployment, inference optimization, and system reliability
- Building frameworks for safety, auditability, and regulatory compliance in agentic systems
- Collaborating with product and operations to translate customer requirements into platform capabilities
- Mentoring senior engineers and establishing engineering best practices
- Contributing to research and development of novel agentic AI techniques
You should have deep expertise in machine learning systems, distributed systems, and software architecture. Experience building production AI/ML platforms, working with large language models, or deploying autonomous systems is highly valued. The role demands someone who can operate at the intersection of research and production engineering.
