CesiumAstro is seeking a Principal Electronics Test Engineer to design, analyze, and implement comprehensive engineering test plans and procedures for board-level electronics products, including power, digital, and RF electronics. This is a senior individual contributor role within a dynamic aerospace and satellite communications startup.
Key responsibilities include:
- Architecting test systems and test architectures for satellite, spacecraft, and aerospace communication systems
- Designing and implementing test procedures for electronics validation and verification
- Developing test automation and integrated system testing approaches
- Participating in "design for test" planning and reviews from early product development stages
- Drawing insightful conclusions from test data and results
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to address company-wide test needs
- Presenting engineering design review materials to customers and executive leadership
- Contributing to proposal-writing efforts
The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in both hardware and software, with proficiencies in measurement techniques, test equipment selection, test automation, and system-level testing. You should have demonstrated ability to architect complex test solutions and mentor junior engineers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as the role involves customer presentations and cross-functional collaboration.
