CesiumAstro is seeking a Principal Electronics Test Engineer to design, analyze, and implement comprehensive engineering test plans and procedures for board-level electronics products, including power, digital, and RF electronics. This is a hands-on technical role within a dynamic startup environment focused on developing communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms.
The successful candidate will architect test systems, draw insightful conclusions from test results, and participate in design-for-test planning from early product development stages. You will work closely with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to address company-wide test needs and serve as a core member of the Cesium technical team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing test architectures and automation frameworks
- Developing measurement techniques and test procedures for complex electronics
- Conducting integrated system testing across hardware and software domains
- Presenting engineering design review materials to customers and executive leadership
- Participating in proposal-writing efforts
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams on test strategy and execution
The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in both hardware and software, with proficiencies in measurement techniques, test equipment, test automation, and integrated system testing. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as the role involves customer presentations and technical documentation.
