Anduril Industries is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join the Space Special Programs team in Chantilly, Virginia. This role focuses on full-cycle PCB design for spacecraft and associated systems, spanning requirements collection, schematic design, component selection, layout supervision/completion, bring-up, test, debug, and system integration.
You will serve as both a senior individual contributor and technical leader, responsible for developing system electrical designs while mentoring and growing the engineering team. The role involves working cross-functionally with product, engineering, sales, logistics, operations, and mission success teams to develop, test, deploy, and operate advanced space capabilities in challenging operational environments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading full-cycle PCB design for spacecraft systems
- Collecting and translating electrical requirements
- Performing schematic design and component selection
- Supervising or completing PCB layout activities
- Conducting bring-up, testing, and debug of electrical systems
- Integrating electrical designs with broader system architecture
- Developing system-level electrical designs
- Mentoring junior engineers and growing team capabilities
- Working with cross-functional teams to design market-leading hardware products
- Driving product maturity through rapid prototyping, design verification, and qualification activities
