Precision for Medicine is seeking an exceptional Principal Database Programmer to join their European team in a fully remote, permanent position. This role is responsible for managing all programming aspects of clinical databases throughout the study lifecycle—from development and testing through implementation, maintenance, and post-database lock support. Key responsibilities include designing, building, and supporting clinical databases; developing, testing, and validating programs to support client projects and third-party applications; providing system administration and advanced technical support; and troubleshooting software and database issues. The role requires leading operational and technical teams on assigned studies and programs, providing training to end users and junior staff, and managing project forecasting, budgets, and resource requirements. You will work closely with Data Management, Project Management, EDC vendors, clients, and third-party vendors to ensure databases are developed, maintained, and compliant with regulatory guidelines. Additional responsibilities include designing clinical databases in consultation with clients and internal teams, developing and maintaining validation documents, participating in software vendor selection, conducting EDC demonstrations and trainings, and developing SOPs and process documentation. The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of experience in clinical database programming with strong expertise in Oncology (Autoimmune diseases experience is advantageous). Required technical skills include proficiency with Rave and Veeva CDMS platforms, Object-Oriented Programming (C#, C++, VBS), CDISC standards (CDASH, SDTM, ADaM), and clinical database management systems. You should demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills, excellent organizational and communication abilities, and professional English proficiency. Experience in clinical, scientific, or healthcare disciplines is essential, along with broad knowledge of drug, device, and biologic development and effective data management practices.
