Showpad (merged with Bigtincan) is seeking a Principal CloudOps Engineer to lead and strengthen its AWS-based cloud infrastructure. This is a hands-on principal-level role combining deep infrastructure expertise with collaborative leadership.
You will design, implement, and improve core AWS infrastructure supporting the platform's expansion. Key responsibilities include architecting infrastructure-as-code solutions using AWS CDK, diagnosing and resolving complex infrastructure issues, maintaining operational reliability through on-call participation, and partnering with teammates to strengthen team effectiveness. You'll ramp quickly on an existing environment, reverse-engineer problems when documentation is limited, and support knowledge transfer in a complex operational setup.
Must-have qualifications: Principal-level AWS infrastructure expertise with hands-on experience provisioning and scaling complex ecosystems; strong infrastructure-as-code skills (AWS CDK or equivalent); proficient scripting and coding abilities; excellent production debugging and troubleshooting track record; autonomy and rapid adaptability to unfamiliar systems; clear communication and ownership mindset. Notably, you must be comfortable using AI agents (Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor) daily to accelerate development and infrastructure workflows.
Nice-to-have experience includes AI/ML infrastructure operations, SaaS and B2B environments, infrastructure modernization in mature systems, and high-ownership execution balancing individual contribution with mentorship.
