CesiumAstro is seeking a Principal CAD Designer to join their aerospace and satellite communications team in Westminster, Colorado. The company develops advanced communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms.
In this role, you will serve as a key technical resource providing advanced CAD design and drafting support throughout the product development lifecycle. Your responsibilities include developing, modifying, and maintaining detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation while ensuring accuracy, configuration control, and compliance with engineering standards.
You will work cross-functionally with engineering teams to support design execution, product data management, and engineering change implementation. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement of CAD processes and documentation practices within a dynamic startup environment focused on cutting-edge hardware for satellites, spacecraft, and aerospace systems.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical expertise in SolidWorks, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex design data in a fast-paced development environment. This is a hands-on role that values autonomous work and collaborative problem-solving.
