You will join the sales team as Principal, Business Development focused on the U.S. Marine Corps. Reporting to the Principal for Naval Business Development, you will drive new revenue through direct sales to Marine Corps units and leadership. Your primary responsibilities include identifying sales opportunities, engaging military buyers, pitching TurbineOne's product with sales team support, documenting scope of work with Solutions Architects, and negotiating contracts with CRO approval. You will identify military leaders with authority and help them become champions for the product, contribute to product and engineering roadmap decisions based on military experience, drive customer expansions, and help translate national security requirements to engineers while educating government buyers on tech industry best practices.
In a typical week, you might fly to military bases to observe product usage in field and classified environments, host calls with military leaders, deliver live product demonstrations, write scope of work documents for capture managers, and educate colleagues on TurbineOne's advantages versus legacy defense contractors.
The role expects ~25% domestic travel. You'll work in a fast-moving startup environment with quarterly OKR-based performance metrics, comfort with constant change, and willingness to build things yourself. Your Marine Corps background and contacts are valued, but you must collaborate effectively across the team regardless of background.
