As Principal in the London office, you will lead sourcing, evaluation, and execution of venture investments across the UK, Europe, and MENA regions, with a focus on Series A-D stage companies. You'll be responsible for originating and supporting 5-7 investments annually, deploying approximately $5-20M annually from the region while collaborating with the broader Alumni Ventures platform. Your core responsibilities include: - Identifying and sourcing high-potential companies across EMEA - Leading investment diligence and negotiation processes - Building and nurturing relationships with founders, co-investors, and ecosystem partners - Supporting portfolio monitoring and execution - Contributing to the firm's investment theses and thought leadership in the EMEA venture landscape - Developing expertise in early and growth-stage venture investing across sectors You'll work within one of Alumni Ventures' ten investing teams, led by a Managing Partner based in the US, while supporting the Executive Managing Director for EMEA on regional activities. The role requires a T-shaped skill set: generalist investing capability with developing depth in EMEA venture dynamics. Success demands creativity, relationship-building ability, analytical rigor, and entrepreneurial hustle. The London office operates with startup-like energy and requires substantial autonomy, flexibility with ambiguity, and alignment with a global investment platform. Regular travel within Europe and the Middle East is expected, with occasional trips to the US East Coast for investment collaboration and firm meetings.
