Wave is a fintech company building financial services across Africa, with millions of users across 9 countries. The company's mission is to make Africa the first cashless continent by providing radically affordable, accessible financial services.
You will manage the identification, training, rollout, and ongoing management of a network of Premium Agencies across the Democratic Republic of Congo. Reporting to the Agent Liquidity Lead, you will own the full lifecycle of agency operations from site selection through maintenance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assess and select Premium Agency outlets based on strategic criteria
- Gather requirements for new premises and secure internal approval
- Negotiate with landlords to obtain authorization for onsite operations
- Set up each Premium Outlet according to company procedures and minimum standards
- Identify and engage vendors for facility buildout, negotiate pricing and timelines
- Inspect completed premises and hand them over to the Liquidity team
- Appoint security companies to protect each Premium Agency
- Add relevant Premium Agencies to insurance policies
- Monitor outlet maintenance and quality of installed materials
- Step in to address fixes and ensure compliance with minimum standards
You will be based in Kinshasa or Bandundu. This is a permanent contract role. Requirements:
- Fluent in French and English (French is day-to-day language; English for interaction with non-French speakers)
- Fluency in Lingala is a strong advantage; Kikongo is a plus
- Solid understanding of agency construction and build-out
- Established network of service providers who deliver on time
- Work authorization in the Democratic Republic of Congo is required
