Zscaler is seeking a Practice Architect - Data Security to join the CS Technology Practices team as a remote, post-sales technical authority for the Data Security portfolio. You will actively lead customer delivery on complex and first-of-kind deployments while driving technical practice development across the Professional Services organization. Key responsibilities include: leading design and implementation for strategic customer engagements across discovery, classification taxonomy, and policy architecture; owning the practice content portfolio end-to-end, including reference architectures, playbooks, design templates, and runbooks; partnering with Customer Success Enablement to train and mentor delivery teams into data security experts; maintaining a working lab to validate capabilities before field deployment and converting escalation learnings into reusable assets; and serving as the named NPI owner for data protection releases, engaging with Product teams ahead of GA and running post-GA retrospectives. You operate with integrity, adapt seamlessly between high-level strategy and hands-on execution, and take complete ownership of outcomes. You are energized by solving hard technical problems and building deep empathy for both internal and external stakeholders. You excel at distilling complex architectural concepts into clear, actionable execution plans and building trust across teams with no formal authority. Required qualifications: 7+ years in enterprise security with 4+ years hands-on in data protection (DLP, CASB, DSPM, or data governance); proven track record delivering complex post-sales engagements at enterprise scale for a technology vendor or systems integrator; demonstrated experience producing technical methodology with clear field adoption; high technical credibility with security architects and CISOs; deep technical breadth across TLS/SSL inspection, proxy architectures, identity integration, SaaS API integration, endpoint agents, and SIEM/SOAR; demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools with proven history of integrating new technologies. Preferred qualifications include strong technical familiarity with the Zscaler portfolio, deep regulatory grounding across GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, and data residency standards, and industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CIPP, or CIPT.
