Relativity Space is building rockets to serve today's needs and tomorrow's breakthroughs. The Terran R vehicle will deliver customer payloads to orbit, meeting growing demand for launch capacity. The company is pioneering a new approach to rocket manufacturing using 3D printing technology.
The Launch team operates at the intersection of every major aspect of Terran R, from stages and payloads to ground systems, launch, landing, and refurbishment. Cape Canaveral is the only place where all elements come together, offering exposure and responsibility unmatched elsewhere in the program. This is where first flights happen and the scale of operations is unlike anything in modern aerospace.
As a Power Systems Engineer II, you will develop electrical project designs and construction drawings for launch and processing facility projects in partnership with senior engineers. You'll design and support electrical systems across voltage levels ranging from 22.5 kV to 120 V, and support installation planning and purchasing for power generation and control, power distribution and protection, and sequencing systems used in launch operations.
Key responsibilities include preparing construction drawings, requests for proposals, bid packages, and bid evaluations to support subcontractor selection and management. You'll develop electrical system requirements and participate in design reviews for new and ongoing launch facility projects. You'll collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to support the development of future Relativity Space facilities.
You'll bring a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience. You should have experience applying engineering first principles to electrical system design, troubleshooting, or operations. This role offers autonomy, ownership, and impact at every level, with the opportunity to solve problems that haven't been solved before and see your work come to life in record time.
