The Portfolio Administrator role sits within the Asset Management team, reporting to the Senior Manager of MAP Trading. This position is central to the daily operations of Credential's Separately Managed Account (SMA) programs and other investment management solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing client and inventory accounts on Portfolio Management and Custodial systems, identifying and resolving data discrepancies
- Executing discretionary trades according to Investment Policy Statements and client agreements
- Implementing and monitoring client trade restrictions to ensure compliance
- Supporting monthly fee-billing processes and generating quarterly investment and supervision reports
- Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain account integrity
- Maintaining investment materials including fact sheets, performance sheets, and quarterly reports
- Providing product support to Advisors and assisting Portfolio Managers with investment proposals and presentations
- Supporting the Investment Strategy Committee with market research, analysis, and presentation materials
Required qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree in business or related discipline
- Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct & Practices Handbook (CPH), and Wealth Management Essentials (WME) certifications
- CFA Level I or actively pursuing
- 3+ years of investment industry experience
- Current or eligible-within-30-days Registered Representative licensing
- Proficiency with Portfolio Management software; Bloomberg or Morningstar experience preferred
- Strong understanding of investment concepts, analytics, and investment administration
- Intermediate MS Office and advanced Excel skills
- Fluent English; French bilingualism is an asset
- Experience with CGI Wealth360 and Dataphile is advantageous
