Wispr AI is building a voice interface product (Flow) that has scaled from $2M to $50M ARR in under 12 months with millions of users and thousands of enterprise customers. You'll own the billing platform end-to-end, supporting four concurrent billing motions: consumer with multiple tiers, B2B with seat-based and usage-based pricing, enterprise customers with mixed pricing models, and international coverage across 30+ currencies and 50+ payment methods.
The core challenge is balancing fast iteration—shipping new products and SKUs monthly—with near-perfect reliability. You'll reconcile billing state across RevenueCat, Stripe, Sequence, and future integrations. Key responsibilities include enabling rapid SKU and pricing experiment launches, building enterprise features (seats, usage, cost centers, flexibility), expanding international payment coverage, and developing comprehensive testing to support velocity without breaking charges.
You'll work closely with the platform team, product engineers, GTM team, data & analytics, and CEO Tanay, who has been a key stakeholder on the billing system since inception.
Ideal candidates have built billing systems multiple times across different motions, have experience running payments migrations seamlessly, understand data integrity principles (e.g., why soft deletes matter), and thrive on problems with complex constraints and edge cases. This is a senior individual contributor role requiring deep expertise and ownership mentality.
The team is small (about 60% in San Francisco office, rest remote US-based). In-office staff work most days; remote teammates are flown to SF 3-4 days monthly with coordinated overlap. The company sponsors visas (H1B, O1, EB1, L1, STEM+OPT) and offers competitive equity, 100% health/dental/vision premium coverage, 401(k) match, 16 weeks parental leave, flexible time off, and relocation support.
