Anduril Industries is seeking a Platform Engineer to join the Air & Missile Defense Radar team. This role bridges tactical software engineers and DevSecOps infrastructure teams, focusing on secure automation infrastructure for radar tracking deployments in classified DoD and Intelligence Community environments.
You will design and implement secure CI/CD pipelines enabling automated build, test, and deployment of radar tracking software across multiple enclaves. Responsibilities include collaborating with software engineers to optimize build and test processes, reducing deployment friction, and integrating security controls early in the development lifecycle. You'll work alongside tactical software developers to identify pain points and architect durable solutions.
Key technical responsibilities: Build Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks (Terraform, Ansible) to provision development, test, and production environments meeting DISA STIG and NIST 800-53 requirements. Automate security compliance workflows including STIG scanning, vulnerability assessment, configuration validation, and compliance reporting for continuous monitoring. Develop containerization and orchestration solutions (Docker, Kubernetes) tailored for classified networks with appropriate security hardening.
Additional duties include creating monitoring and logging infrastructure to support security operations, troubleshooting, and incident response. Partner with system administrators and ISSM/ISSO personnel to ensure deployed systems meet customer security requirements.
Required: 5+ years experience with Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field. Strong hands-on CI/CD tools experience (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions). Proficiency in Python and C++. Understanding of software engineering fundamentals, Infrastructure-as-Code tools, containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), Linux system administration, networking, and scripting. Must be able to obtain and maintain U.S. Top Secret SCI clearance.
Desired: DoD/IC classified environment deployment experience, ATO processes, STIG implementation, continuous monitoring, Python package development, SCAP-compliant scanning tools, secure software supply chain practices, zero-trust architectures, GitOps workflows, observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk), PKI/certificate management, air-gapped network deployments, DoD security frameworks knowledge, active clearance, and relevant certifications (Security+).
