Ramp is building smart infrastructure for finance teams, automating how over $200B in annualized spend flows through 70,000+ companies. The company handles payment authorization, risk flagging, spend categorization, and financial close processes for ambitious businesses. In this role, you will lead the People Programs function at Ramp, owning the employee experience and culture-building initiatives that define how the company operates as it scales. This is a hands-on, build-from-scratch position with high visibility and impact across the organization. Key responsibilities include: • Build and own the onboarding program from pre-start through first week, ensuring new hires experience Ramp's culture and values from day one. Partner with People Operations and IT on logistics. • Own the performance review cycle's program design, including timeline, tools, and the manager/employee experience. Collaborate with People Business Partners on calibration and outcomes. • Design and build manager enablement as a standalone program, creating content, frameworks, and moments that help managers lead effectively. • Conceive and run company-wide culture-building programs, owning logistics and content end-to-end. • Own recognition programming: design how the company surfaces and celebrates achievements, and establish rituals and milestones that make Ramp's culture tangible. • Design, run, and analyze the biannual engagement survey. Translate results into actionable insights with People Business Partners. • Build your own roadmap by synthesizing signals from engagement data, manager input, and People Operations feedback. Make strategic calls on what to build, improve, delegate, or stop. • Serve as the trusted voice on build-versus-buy decisions for people programs, grounded in judgment about investment value. • Work closely with People Business Partners, People Operations, Communications, and leadership to ensure programs land and thrive. Requirements: • 5+ years owning people/culture programs end-to-end at a high-growth company, from ideation through hands-on execution • Proven track record as a builder: you've created programming that didn't exist before, not adapted existing playbooks • Strong facilitation and executive presence; comfortable being the face of programs in front of the whole company • Comfortable with data: can read engagement survey results and program metrics and turn them into a point of view • Proven ability to partner across functions (People Business Partners, Communications, Enablement, leadership) • First-principles thinker who can turn ambiguity into scalable frameworks without needing a rule book
