Legora is a Series C AI-native legal workspace company serving 1,000+ customers across 50+ countries, including top-tier law firms and enterprises. The company has scaled to $100M+ ARR and is expanding rapidly across new markets.
You'll lead the People workstream for Legora's international market expansion initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of People Operations, Legal, Finance, and Business Operations—coordinating complex, multi-stakeholder launches across new countries and legal entities.
Key responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end People workstreams for multiple simultaneous market launches, from scoping through operational handover
- Translate expansion plans into executable roadmaps with clear milestones, dependencies, decision points and accountable owners
- Coordinate delivery across People Operations, People Tech, Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Legal, Finance and external partners (employment lawyers, payroll providers, benefits administrators)
- Establish governance structures and operating rhythms that create visibility and accelerate decisions
- Track progress, risks and interdependencies; escalate blockers early and drive resolution
- Define People-readiness criteria for each launch (employment setup, payroll, benefits, policies, systems, onboarding, comms)
- Clarify ownership across central teams, local stakeholders and external providers to eliminate gaps
- Build and continuously improve a scalable market-expansion playbook with standard plans, checklists, templates and handover requirements
- Ensure new processes are operationally viable, documented and cleanly transitioned to permanent owners
- Prepare clear updates and decision materials for senior stakeholders
- Extract insights from each launch to simplify future expansions and reduce manual coordination
You'll report to the People Operations & People Program Lead and help build a repeatable model that allows Legora to enter new countries quickly without compromising employee experience, compliance or operational quality.
Required experience:
- 5+ years in program management, PMO, transformation, international expansion, People projects or complex cross-functional environments
- Strong track record leading multi-workstream projects with multiple stakeholders, dependencies and deadlines
- Ability to turn ambiguity into structured, executable plans
- Project-management discipline combined with judgment to adapt when priorities shift
- Proven ability to coordinate senior stakeholders and drive progress without formal authority
- Excellent communication and ability to translate complex topics into clear decisions and narratives
- Proactive risk identification, blocker resolution and accountability focus
- Strong documentation skills and experience building playbooks and governance structures
- Comfort operating at pace with multiple simultaneous high-priority initiatives
- High ownership, sound judgment and uncompromising attention to delivery quality
Highly valuable: experience with international employment, entity setup, payroll implementation, global People Operations or market expansion. Plus: experience with AI tools or agentic workflows.
You do not need to be an employment lawyer or market specialist—you need to bring the right experts together, ask critical questions and drive complex work to completion.
