Scopely, a leading video game and interactive entertainment company (home to MONOPOLY GO!, Pokémon GO, and other major titles), is seeking a People Operations Partner to support the North America employee experience from the Mexico City hub on a hybrid basis.
You will own the operational backbone of people processes for North American employees, with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement. Your responsibilities span multiple domains:
**Employee Experience & Lifecycle Management:** Lead new hire onboarding and orientations, verify work authorization and documentation completion, maintain accurate employee records, support internal and external audits, conduct employment verifications, and partner with People Business Partners and Legal on smooth offboarding. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to PBPs, managers, and employees on local requirements and processes.
**Continuous Improvement & Process Excellence:** Drive improvements to People Operations workflows to reduce manual work and errors. Generate and analyze JIRA and People Analytics metrics to identify trends and inform decisions, including through AI tools. Create and maintain SOPs for core processes with clear roles and responsibilities. Collaborate with Legal, IT, and HR Tech to refine HR systems while maintaining data privacy compliance.
**Local Benefits Support:** Answer employee and manager questions on local benefits with accuracy and timeliness. Partner with local brokers in Mexico City to administer benefits, resolve issues, and manage open enrollment and renewals. Identify recurring questions and gaps, turning them into improved communications, FAQs, and processes.
**Global Mobility Support:** Coordinate global mobility cases from start to finish, working with the Global Mobility team, Legal, and external providers. Manage relocation services and visa support vendors, keeping timelines and costs on track. Keep employees informed at each step.
**Compliance & Data Integrity:** Ensure HR processes align with local labor laws and global standards, flagging issues early. Maintain accurate new hire data and perform quarterly audits. Prepare and submit required compliance reports to government agencies on time. Serve as a subject matter expert on employment regulations.
**Policy Development & Communication:** Partner with Employee Relations to develop and implement HR policies reflecting company culture and legal requirements. Communicate policy updates clearly to employees and leadership. Ensure policies and procedures are easily accessible.
**Requirements:**
- 4+ years of experience in People Operations, HR operations, or HR administration, ideally in fast-paced, global environments supporting multiple countries
- Working knowledge of Mexican employment law and HR compliance (IMSS, INFONAVIT, SAT, STPS) with ability to apply in practice and learn U.S. and Canadian requirements
- Track record of improving processes through workflow streamlining, templates, SOPs, or data-driven gap analysis
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in employee data, documentation, and reporting
- Service mindset with clear, empathetic communication and ownership of making things easy for employees and managers
- Experience with HRIS (Workday preferred) and ticketing tools (JIRA preferred); comfort with reporting and metrics
- Demonstrated experience operating or improving agentic AI workflows in business settings, including designing safe workflows, defining agent steps, placing human approvals, safeguarding sensitive data, validating outputs, handling failures, documenting workflows, and measuring accuracy and business impact
- Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize across multiple workstreams
- Fluent in English and Spanish, written and verbal
**Nice to Have:**
- Familiarity with U.S. and Canadian employment practices
- Experience administering local benefits and working with brokers or carriers
- Experience supporting global mobility, immigration, or relocation processes
- Knowledge of employee data privacy requirements (LFPDPPP, GDPR)
- HR certification or degree in HR, business, law, or related field
