The company provides regulated financial infrastructure spanning payments, accounts, treasury, cards, and spend management across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. With 2,300+ employees across 27 offices and a decade of operations, Airwallex is co-headquartered in San Francisco and Singapore.
As People Operations Manager for EMEA, you will lead the regional People Operations function and own end-to-end employee lifecycle operations for approximately 400 employees across the EMEA region. Your responsibilities include managing core processes such as onboarding, background checks, HRIS data integrity, payroll inputs and changes, benefits administration, leave management, and offboarding. You will drive operational excellence by codifying regional standard operating procedures, managing the People & Talent JIRA helpdesk queue, and establishing clear workflows consistent with global guidance.
You will partner cross-functionally with Payroll, IT, and Compliance teams to ensure accurate and timely transactions, audits, vendor coordination, and change control. Key responsibilities include running regular data audits to identify discrepancies and improve data integrity, supporting benefits administration and rollout across EMEA markets, and providing operational support for employment changes, leave, probation, right-to-work processes, and visa matters across multiple countries. You will work closely with People Partners and Legal to ensure consistent delivery aligned with local requirements.
A significant part of the role involves identifying inefficiencies in manual workflows and driving process improvements and automation, with particular emphasis on appropriate use of AI. You will support regional and global People projects, including system implementations and new policy rollouts. Where applicable, you will manage and prioritize work across People Operations support resources, leading a collaborative, team-based environment.
This role requires comfort operating at both the detail level and the regional level—ensuring every onboarding, payroll input, and employee query is handled with quality while building better systems for the future.
