Salary: USD 132,000 - 198,000 / annual
Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking an experienced PCB Layout Engineer to join their Costa Mesa, California office. This role focuses on designing next-generation printed circuit boards for Anduril's advanced military systems and products.
You will own PCB design lifecycles from conception through manufacturing, working directly with electrical engineers and cross-functional teams to produce high-reliability, highly manufacturable assemblies. Your responsibilities include implementing complex designs spanning high-speed digital, precision analog, RF, and high-power circuits. You'll apply modern design standards and IPC guidelines to ensure designs meet mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing PCB layouts that support all Anduril product lines
- Implementing design-for-manufacturing (DFM) best practices and refining internal guidelines
- Creating and managing component libraries and database standards
- Reviewing and critiquing layouts before final delivery
- Balancing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborating with teams to establish PCB design processes and part creation standards
Required qualifications include 5+ years of professional PCB layout or design experience, expert-level proficiency with Altium Designer, full understanding of PCB layout techniques, ability to read and interpret schematics, IPC standards expertise (CID/CID+ certification preferred), and component library development experience. You must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred.
