Opendoor is building the modern system of homeownership, offering an end-to-end online platform that helps people buy and sell homes on their own terms. The company operates across the US and Canada with multiple legal entities and a technology-forward culture.
This role supports the day-to-day execution of payroll processing and equity administration for a growing, product-driven company. You will report to the Payroll and Equity Manager and serve as a shared analyst across both payroll and equity functions.
Key responsibilities include:
• Support multi-entity, multi-country payroll processing for US and Canadian semi-monthly cycles across multiple legal entities
• Assist with payroll tax compliance across federal, state/provincial, and local jurisdictions, including tracking new registrations
• Support quarter-end and year-end processes, including wage audits and W-2/T4 box verification
• Partner on equity payroll events: incorporate RSU vestings, option exercises, and ESPP purchases into payroll runs with correct supplemental withholding
• Reconcile payroll records against the equity administration system (E*Trade)
• Build depth in both payroll and equity areas to serve as a reliable backup on both functions
• Coordinate closely with payroll and equity managers on timing, withholding, and reconciliation
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, fast-moving, and brings a technology-forward operating style. You'll use automation to reduce manual work while maintaining sharp attention to the details inherent in payroll and equity administration for a scaling company. This is an individual contributor role focused on execution, process improvement, and cross-functional coordination.
