Flywire, a global payments enablement and software company, is seeking a Payment Operations Associate for Data Operations to serve as the founding member of their new Bengaluru team. This is a strategic, hands-on role focused on scaling payment architecture and ensuring flawless execution of high-volume international and domestic transactions.
You will act as a bridge between global banking partners, compliance teams, and users, driving efficiency and minimizing friction in a fast-paced fintech environment. Key responsibilities include processing growing volumes of international and domestic payments, verifying beneficiary account details for AML compliance, working with payment partners and banks to resolve payment issues, identifying and reporting processing inefficiencies, reviewing and maintaining payment formatting rules, collaborating with the Compliance team to improve internal policies, and communicating directly with payers via email and phone to resolve issues and prevent delays.
This role offers the opportunity to own the integrity of Flywire's payment ecosystem from the ground up, with direct impact on the company's operations in India. You will work with a dynamic global team and have exposure to multiple functions including banking operations, compliance, and customer support.
Flywire supports over 5,300 clients across education, healthcare, travel, and B2B industries, processing payments across 240 countries and territories in more than 140 currencies. The company has 1,400+ employees across 15 offices worldwide.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree with interest in financial services or operations
- Deadline-focused with strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Fluent English (written and spoken); other languages are an advantage
- Willingness and eagerness to learn
- Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical and computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and online tools (Google Apps, etc.)
- Passion for problem-solving and helping customers
- Highly effective communication skills
- Positive, can-do attitude motivated by continuous improvement
- Experience in finance, banking operations, or transactional reconciliation is an advantage
