Blend is a cloud banking platform used by Wells Fargo, U.S. Bank, and over 330 financial services firms to process more than $5 billion in loans per day. This Partnerships Manager role is a senior individual contributor position focused on building and scaling Blend's strategic partnership ecosystem. You will own and manage Blend's portfolio of strategic technology partners—currently approximately four high-impact partnerships with plans to grow to six or seven over time. Unlike traditional channel sales, these are deeply integrated partnerships where partners are embedded into the Blend platform itself. Approximately 70% of your time will focus on maximizing the success of existing partnerships through relationship strengthening, joint business planning, and identifying expansion opportunities within current integrations and go-to-market initiatives. The remaining 30% will be dedicated to identifying, evaluating, and recruiting new strategic technology partners that complement the platform. Key responsibilities include: owning the strategic partnership portfolio; developing joint business plans that create measurable value; serving as the primary executive point of contact for partner leadership; evaluating and recommending improvements to partnership agreements; collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Engineering teams; and building a scalable partnership program to support future growth. You'll need 7+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, channel management, or alliance management within SaaS or fintech. Experience managing technology integrations and strategic partnerships (rather than pure reseller relationships) is essential. You should have a track record of growing existing partner relationships while developing new ones, strong executive presence, and the ability to influence senior leaders internally and externally. Experience in financial services, banking, mortgage, or fintech ecosystems is highly preferred. Success in year one means strengthening the existing partner ecosystem by improving partner satisfaction, driving greater engagement, expanding joint opportunities, and ensuring partnerships deliver meaningful value for both organizations. As that foundation solidifies, you'll help strategically expand the ecosystem with new partnerships aligned to Blend's long-term growth strategy.
