OpenEvidence is a medical AI platform used by >65% of US clinicians. The company is now expanding to low- and middle-income countries to bring AI-powered medical expertise to clinicians and health workers in low-connectivity, resource-constrained settings where access to quality care is scarcest.
As Partnerships Lead for Beneficial Deployments, you will be the primary relationship owner for flagship global health deployments, working directly with governments, international NGOs, foundations, and innovators. You will identify and onboard new partnerships, translate partners' clinical and operational needs into deployment plans that work in low-connectivity and offline environments, and bring on-the-ground insights back to product, clinical, and research teams to make OpenEvidence best-in-class for global health contexts, including local language support.
Key responsibilities include: growing existing partnerships and identifying new ones; running structured programs such as accelerators and cohort-based engagements; supporting funder and ecosystem engagement; setting a research agenda for measuring OpenEvidence's impact on health outcomes in low-resource settings; representing OpenEvidence at global health convenings; and spending approximately 25% of time at partner sites across the Global South.
The role requires end-to-end ownership of flagship deployments and demonstrating their impact. You will work closely with engineering, product, and clinical teams to ensure deployments succeed in challenging environments. The company emphasizes uncompromising excellence, precision, intentionality, and velocity—building from 0→1 and scaling 1→1000 at a world-class level.
OpenEvidence operates in-person in Miami and San Francisco, with extensive travel to partner sites. The company provides meals, transport, and resources to optimize focus and productivity.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years in global health, international development, or related fields
- 5+ years managing external partnerships, grantmaking, or multi-stakeholder initiatives
- Demonstrated experience building programs or organizations from scratch
- Deep credibility and relationships in the global health ecosystem with direct experience in low- and middle-income countries
- Nuanced understanding of deployment in low-connectivity, low-resource environments
- Preferred: language skills relevant to Sub-Saharan Africa or Latin America, or background in clinical/public health settings
- Technical fluency with AI concepts, understanding of LLM capabilities and limitations, ability to partner effectively with engineers and scientists
- Experience building and running structured programs, likely at a startup or in a founding role
- Analytical mindset with ability to use data to inform strategy and measure impact
- Familiarity with global health research, evidence-based interventions, and evaluation methodologies
- Autonomous, scrappy, precise, low-ego builder profile with ability to work at world-class level
