OpenFX is building infrastructure to enable cross-border payments at scale, moving money as freely as data across time zones and legacy banking systems. The company is backed by top-tier investors (Accel, Lightspeed, NfX) and has assembled a team with experience from JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, FalconX, PayPal, Affirm, Polygon, Kraken, and Nium.
As Partnerships Lead, you will drive growth through strategic relationships with banks, liquidity providers, and crypto institutions globally. You will develop and execute a comprehensive partnership strategy across traditional banking and crypto sectors, identifying and securing high-value partnerships that expand the network and ensure robust liquidity for the platform.
Key responsibilities include: developing global partnership strategy; identifying and pursuing partnerships with banks, financial institutions, crypto exchanges, and liquidity providers; driving revenue growth through partner channels and increasing transaction volumes; leading business development initiatives to acquire institutional clients; structuring complex commercial agreements; building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; creating partner success programs; monitoring market trends and competitor activities; conducting strategic analysis for partnership priorities; collaborating with technical teams on partner integration; working with legal and compliance on regulatory requirements; and building, managing, and mentoring the partnerships team as the company scales into new markets.
You will need 8+ years in business development or partnerships within financial services or fintech, with a strong network in banking and crypto. Proven track record of closing complex deals worth $10M+ in aggregate value is essential. Deep understanding of FX markets, banking infrastructure, and cross-border payment systems is required. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred. Experience in crypto/blockchain, DeFi, international business development across jurisdictions, regulatory navigation, and C-level negotiation skills are highly valued.
