Axle Energy is building software infrastructure for the decarbonised energy system, controlling hundreds of thousands of energy assets by optimizing vehicle charging, heating systems, and home batteries to shift energy usage to times when electricity is cheap and green. The company operates at high speed in a legacy industry, backed by leading investors including Energize Capital and Accel. The Partnerships role is a multifaceted, client-facing position with a strong technical component. You will own the full partner lifecycle—from onboarding and implementation through account growth and expansion. Your core responsibilities include: • Owning client relationships end-to-end, ensuring partners unlock full value from Axle's products by aligning technology with their evolving business needs • Providing go-to-market insights on user propositions, communication strategies, and market positioning to help partners succeed • Managing post-implementation relationships after go-live, driving continuous improvement and identifying opportunities to deepen engagement or expand accounts • Acting as a conduit between partners and engineering teams, creating fast, structured feedback loops that translate field insights into meaningful product enhancements • Creating and scaling processes across diverse customer segments • Making data-driven decisions and improvements both internally and externally This role sits at the intersection of commercial growth and product development. You'll be instrumental in Axle's B2B2C expansion by helping partners onboard and scale. The position requires strong commercial instincts, pragmatic problem-solving, and the ability to navigate a legacy industry without getting stuck in bureaucracy. Axle operates with a deliberately flat structure and equitable pay philosophy (1:1 median ratio between founder and team compensation). The London office is dog-friendly and located around Farringdon; hybrid working requires 2–3 days per week in-office to maximize collaboration. Additional benefits include meaningful equity, enhanced parental leave, and bi-annual team retreats. REQUIREMENTS The posting does not explicitly state years of experience, education, or formal certifications required. However, the role implicitly requires: strong commercial instincts and business acumen; experience managing client relationships and account expansion; ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and vice versa; data-driven decision-making capability; and comfort operating in a fast-paced, flat-structure environment. The company explicitly welcomes candidates who don't fit traditional role stereotypes and are motivated by the climate/energy transition mission.
