Salary: USD 115,000 - 160,000 / annual
Via is a transportation technology company building AI-powered software and operations solutions for public transit systems globally. As Partnership Proposals Lead, you will craft persuasive, high-quality written proposals that forge new partnerships with cities, transit agencies, and public transit providers. You'll work closely with Via's Strategy, Partnerships, Expansion, and executive leadership teams to understand customer needs and position Via's technology offerings compellingly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate with internal teams to develop winning strategies for competitive procurements and high-stakes partnerships
- Become an expert in Via's technology, products, and operational capabilities, translating complex technical specifications into clear, accessible prose for internal and external audiences
- Write, review, and edit comprehensive long-form narrative proposals for potential partners
- Generate original, compelling content by understanding audience needs and leveraging knowledge of Via's offerings, transit industry norms, and emerging innovations
- Lead competitive procurements end-to-end: evaluation, proposal creation, review, and submission
- Conduct rigorous research analyzing news, service announcements, scopes of work, city histories, and synthesize findings into strategic insights
- Manage communications with potential partners via phone and email
- Support senior team members during interviews and city/agency launches
You are meticulous, detail-oriented, and able to connect individual elements to the bigger picture. You have exceptional written communication skills demonstrated through professional or academic work. You're passionate about sustainable, equitable transit systems and understand urban planning, environmental impact, and public governance. You possess strong strategic judgment, collaborative project management skills, and thrive in fast-paced environments. You're data-savvy and excel at building evidence-based narratives using quantitative and qualitative metrics.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience with a strong record of achievement in roles requiring extensive, impeccable written communication (business proposals, policy memos, dissertations, journalism, creative non-fiction, etc.)
- Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree preferred, ideally in humanities or social sciences with qualitative analysis and long-form writing experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strategic thinking and project management capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
- Self-starter mentality with high degree of responsibility and resilience in fast-paced environments
- Data literacy and ability to construct compelling narratives from quantitative and qualitative evidence
