Datarails is an AI-powered FinanceOS company helping finance teams transform their operations through intelligent automation, AI, and seamless integrations. With ~350 employees globally, the company is building next-generation finance technology.
You will lead partnership strategy and execution with Private Equity firms across North America. This is a full-lifecycle role: sourcing and closing high-impact PE partnerships, onboarding partners, enabling portfolio activation, and driving measurable revenue. You'll own the relationship from initial outreach through ongoing growth and scaling.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and nurturing relationships with leading PE firms, positioning Datarails as a value driver for their portfolio companies
- Identifying, negotiating, and closing partnerships that deliver mutual commercial value
- Owning the complete partner lifecycle: sourcing, onboarding, enablement, activation, and growth
- Collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Solutions Consulting, Product, and Marketing to align PE initiatives with company growth
- Delivering product expertise to PE partners and ensuring confident portfolio recommendations
- Turning signed partnerships into portfolio adoption and revenue quickly
- Designing and executing co-marketing strategies (events, webinars, thought leadership)
- Providing guidance to internal stakeholders including AE teams, solutions consultants, and CS teams
- Developing scalable playbooks and partner programs to replicate success
- Tracking pipeline, partner-sourced revenue, and portfolio impact with transparency and accountability
You bring 3+ years of alliances or business development experience, ideally with PE exposure at fast-growing startups in financial services. You understand PE firm operations and how they drive value across portfolios. You have a proven track record building PE relationships from scratch, running successful co-marketing initiatives, and scaling partnerships into measurable revenue. You possess strong commercial instincts, exceptional negotiation skills, and executive presence with senior stakeholders. A network within PE or investment communities is valuable. You're comfortable in high-growth, ambiguous environments and excel at partner enablement and scalable go-to-market strategy. Bachelor's degree required; FP&A or finance tech familiarity is a plus.
