Pennylane is a high-growth French fintech (€400M raised, backed by Sequoia) building financial management and accounting software for SMEs and accounting firms across Europe. The company has grown from 7 founders to 1,000+ employees across 25 countries with a 4.9/5 Glassdoor rating.
You will be the Partnership Manager responsible for building and maintaining Pennylane's strategic relationship with ANECS and CJEC—two major professional bodies representing the next generation of French accountants, including trainees, young practitioners, firm creators, and firm acquirers. This is a key role in establishing Pennylane as the preferred partner for accounting professionals navigating career transitions, firm launches, acquisitions, and modernization.
Your responsibilities span five core areas:
**National Partnership Stewardship (20%):** Own the end-to-end relationship with ANECS and CJEC, including annual conventions, governance, budgets (~€35k/year), and negotiation of partnership benefits. Secure and activate visibility, speaking slots, exclusive formats, and qualification opportunities. Build trust with national leadership and ensure continuity through leadership transitions.
**Network Animation & Field Presence (30%):** Maintain active engagement across the national and 50+ regional sections. Build and execute an ambitious field plan covering congresses, summer events, networking dinners, competitions, and local events. Design useful activations: workshops, peer testimonials, networking formats, product demos. Qualify post-event contacts, activate the community, and relay signals to sales. Manage leadership transitions as section boards rotate annually.
**Creator, Acquirer & Young Firm Initiatives (20%):** Co-develop with sales targeted programs for firm creators, acquirers, and young practitioners. Identify high-intent moments (installation, acquisition, team structuring, tool selection, new service lines, productivity). Qualify and hand off high-potential contacts to sales with clear process and attribution tracking.
**Community Strategy, Content & Activation (20%):** Define and execute a multi-channel community strategy combining in-person events, digital touchpoints, content, email, social, and local ambassadors. Create content addressing key transformation topics: AI, productivity, new service lines, hiring, commercial development, client experience. Segment and nurture a qualified contact database with proper consent management.
**Performance Management & Competitive Intelligence (10%):** Track network coverage, lead quality, community engagement, pipeline influence, attributable MRR, budget, and ROI. Produce quarterly reports with insights and prioritization recommendations. Monitor competitor activity in the young accountant space.
You will report to Cyril Chanson (Manager, Accounting Firm Partnerships) and collaborate daily with Sales, Marketing, Enablement, Education, and Events teams. The role requires regular travel across French regions and comfort engaging with both section presidents and workshop participants.
