OpenAI's Platform Partnerships team is seeking a Partner Manager, Monetization to build and scale strategic platform and monetization partnerships. This is a hands-on individual-contributor role focused on driving day-to-day strategy and execution across a portfolio of priority partners.
You will own partnership strategy and execution, working closely with Product, Engineering, Research, Go-to-Market, Legal, Finance, Marketing, Policy, and Operations to align roadmaps and deliver measurable outcomes. Key responsibilities include managing a portfolio of strategic partnerships as businesses, setting direction and priorities, and driving outcomes aligned with OpenAI's product goals. You'll contribute to multi-year expansion strategies, support complex deal execution and commercial negotiations, and operate as a cross-functional driver aligning internal teams and external partners.
You will establish and run partner operating cadences including roadmap reviews, business reviews, and launch-readiness reviews. You'll build trusted relationships at executive and working levels, translate partner needs and market signals into product and go-to-market recommendations, and define success metrics with clear performance communication. The role requires resolving blockers with urgency and turning successful work into reusable playbooks as the portfolio scales.
Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in business development, product partnerships, or related technology roles, with proven experience scaling complex strategic partnerships from 0 to 1. You should have strong product and technical judgment, experience with APIs, integrations, developer platforms, and emerging products. Strong cross-functional operating skills, strategic judgment, and the ability to communicate clearly across executive, technical, commercial, and operational audiences are essential. You'll need high agency, low ego, adaptability, and exceptional follow-through, with experience in high-growth companies or scaled technology platforms preferred.
