Ramp is building intelligent financial infrastructure for enterprise companies, automating how over $200B in annualized spend flows through 70,000+ organizations. The company handles payment authorization, risk flagging, spend categorization, and financial close processes at scale. As a Partner Development Representative, you will be the initial point of contact responsible for generating new partnerships with private equity firms and driving introductions to sales opportunities. This is a business development role focused on channel partnerships rather than direct sales. Key responsibilities include: conducting direct outreach to private equity firms via email, phone, events, and social channels; qualifying and engaging partner prospects through consultative conversations; researching PE fund structures, investment theses, deal histories, and key decision-makers to assess fit and customize outreach; educating financial institution leaders about Ramp's partnership program and portfolio company value; collaborating with Channel Partner Managers, Marketing, and Operations to grow the partner ecosystem; developing innovative relationship-building strategies; and maintaining accurate CRM data in Salesforce. You should have strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent listening ability, and a professional presence on calls and video. Prior experience in partnerships, channel sales, or sales development is required. You must be comfortable with prospecting, both virtual and in-person engagement, and tracking daily performance metrics. A deep interest in understanding business challenges across verticals and entrepreneurial self-starter mentality are essential. Nice-to-have qualifications include experience with financial institutions (PE, VC), background in investment banking or private equity, customer-facing or sales roles, Salesforce experience, high-growth startup exposure, and financial services acumen. A bachelor's degree is preferred. Ramp offers comprehensive benefits including flexible PTO, health/wellness stipends, 401(k) with employer match, parental leave, relocation support to NYC or SF, and in-office perks.
