OpenRouter is a unified interface for large language models, routing billions of tokens monthly across 200+ models and providers. The company helps developers and enterprises access, manage, and optimize AI use without vendor lock-in or integration complexity.
As Partner Development Manager for the Provider Ecosystem, you'll own inbound and outbound partnerships with model labs, inference services, and hardware platforms. The role is tactical and high-velocity: you'll qualify inbound provider interest (via Twitter, LinkedIn, and direct outreach), source emerging opportunities in the long tail, and drive hands-on technical onboarding from first conversation to live integration.
Key responsibilities include fielding and qualifying inbound opportunities, proactively sourcing new model developers and inference platforms, managing end-to-end provider onboarding, reading API documentation and troubleshooting integrations, tracking pipeline progress, and coordinating across Product, Engineering, and Support teams.
You'll be technical enough to read API docs, test endpoints, and unblock integration issues without waiting on engineers. You'll communicate crisply with both external partners and internal teams, move fast, follow up relentlessly, and take ownership of outcomes. The role is described as low-ego and high-ownership—no task is beneath you.
This is positioned as an early-career opportunity to build partnerships expertise from the ground up, with room to grow into more strategic or senior partnership roles as the company scales. You'll gain direct relationships with model labs and providers shaping the AI ecosystem and a front-row seat to the industry.
