The Legal Team is at the forefront of the company's expansion, ensuring GoCardless adopts forward-thinking processes and controls while empowering the business to achieve its goals.
As a Paralegal, you will be an integral part of a collaborative and rapidly growing legal team at this fast-paced fintech scale-up. You will serve as the first port of call for a broad range of paralegal tasks across all business functions. Key responsibilities include:
• Managing the inflow of legal matters by answering basic queries from across the business and involving other legal team members as appropriate
• Handling administrative tasks requiring precision and quick thinking—triaging tickets, setting up documents for signatures, and other high-impact work
• Assisting with building and maintaining self-help tools, playbooks, and guides for the legal team and wider business
• Supporting team members with ad-hoc projects including legal research, product launches, corporate projects, and IP matters
• Contributing to team-wide initiatives and working across global teams spanning different countries

REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience working as a Paralegal in a leading commercial law firm or in-house legal department
• Good understanding of legal principles and local law; experience drafting agreements and corporate documents preferred
• Ability to work independently and proactively on multiple projects simultaneously with effective prioritization
• Strong communication skills and collaborative approach; comfortable in a fast-growing, demanding environment
• Natural inclination toward learning and precision; tech-savvy with understanding of process efficiency
• Willingness to think creatively and adopt innovative solutions
