Distro is seeking a highly motivated Outside Sales Representative to drive new business development in the flooring and construction materials space across Southeast Michigan. This is a full-cycle sales role combining field prospecting, account management, estimating, and consultative selling.
You will independently generate new business opportunities by prospecting builders, contractors, developers, property managers, designers, and homeowners. Responsibilities include cold calling, job-site visits, networking, and identifying active construction and renovation projects. You'll manage the entire sales process from initial contact through project completion, including conducting discovery meetings, preparing estimates and proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.

You'll develop expertise in hard-surface and soft-surface flooring products, educate customers on features and performance, and recommend solutions based on budget and project requirements.
Additional responsibilities include reviewing plans and specifications, calculating material quantities and labor costs, collaborating with internal teams on complex projects, maintaining accurate CRM records, and representing the company at industry events, builder associations, and networking activities.
