As an Outcome Engineer, you will join a pioneering team inventing Onebrief's AI Engineering Platform. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering and AI systems design—moving the organization from traditional software development constrained by human bandwidth to outcome-driven development powered by autonomous agents.
Key responsibilities include:
- Architect multi-agent systems that enable specialized agents to collaborate, debate, and execute complex tasks reliably, moving from simple prompts to robust, stateful agentic workflows.
- Implement automated governance and policy engines that allow autonomous systems to operate safely at speed, replacing manual review with programmatic constraints.
- Engineer context and memory infrastructure (knowledge graphs, vector stores) that provides agents with deep structural understanding of codebases and business intent.
- Build rigorous evaluation frameworks and testing harnesses that move beyond subjective validation to deterministic validation of agentic outputs using formal specifications and automated metrics.
- Design self-healing loops that connect observability data to agent actions, enabling systems to detect, analyze, and autonomously remediate failures.
- Prototype and deploy agentic tools rapidly to production for both internal teams and customers.
- Experiment continuously with new models, orchestration techniques, and validation approaches.
The team is distributed but high-bandwidth, with members working remotely and some embedded in operational environments globally. The culture emphasizes intense collaboration, shipping products over theorizing, and ego-free interdisciplinary work.
Core technologies include large language models, vector databases, Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, and AWS.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be an active agentic builder with hands-on experience building with agents recently (not theoretical knowledge).
- Must have a proven history of shipping products; understand the difference between prototypes and production systems users rely on.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals valued, but the company explicitly welcomes diverse backgrounds: AI researchers, game engineers, product managers, platform/SRE engineers, designers, or anyone with demonstrated agentic systems experience.
- Must thrive in intense, synchronous, high-bandwidth collaboration; this is not a role for extended solo work.
- Must write clearly to think and communicate in a distributed, fast-moving environment.
- Must respect expertise without gatekeeping; willingness to share knowledge and empower others across disciplines.
