Atom Computing is building quantum computers using arrays of optically trapped neutral atoms. As Optical Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of optical engineers driving the development and implementation of optical solutions for quantum computing systems.
You will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of optical engineers, overseeing the design, development, and implementation of laser systems and optical components critical to quantum computer performance. Your expertise in laser systems, optical design, and laser materials processing will be essential as you guide your team through complex technical challenges.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing a high-performing optical engineering team
- Directing the design and implementation of optical solutions for quantum computing platforms
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including physics, systems engineering, and product teams
