Alan is a prevention-focused health insurance company integrating insurance, prevention, and care into a unified platform. With €800M+ ARR, 1M+ members, and 1000+ employees, Alan is expanding its integrated care model from France into Belgium and other European markets.
You will join Alan's strategic Operations team (80+ members globally) as an Ops & Product Builder focused on Belgium's health services. This is a 0-to-1 role with founder-level autonomy backed by a mature, well-funded company. You will own critical, high-ambiguity initiatives that directly impact Alan's P&L and member experience across Belgium.
Key responsibilities include:
- Launching Mo (Alan's 24/7 AI medical assistant) in Belgium in French and Dutch, with Belgian doctors shaping responses and escalation
- Building Alan Precision (advanced blood tests paired with AI health plans) by establishing networks of clinical labs, pharmacies, and care providers
- Identifying gaps in Belgian healthcare (weight loss, sleep, women's health, etc.) and designing prevention programmes with health professionals and product teams
- Reinventing occupational health and Health At Work offerings to drive prevention impact across Belgian workplaces
- Setting clear vision and roadmaps, leading product reviews, and driving make-or-buy decisions
- Building and running key partnerships autonomously with providers, pharmacies, labs, and health-tech vendors
- Mentoring team members and driving cross-functional alignment
You will operate with end-to-end ownership, acting on behalf of the entire company with a long-term focus and accountability for outcomes. The role requires deep understanding of Belgian healthcare dynamics (mutualities, practitioners, reimbursement, regulation) and the ability to move fast while tackling complex, ambiguous problems.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 6+ years in operations, product management, or entrepreneurship, ideally including launching new services
- Fluent in English and French or Dutch (both is a strong plus)
- High level of structure and strong analytical skills, including SQL fluency for data analysis
- Proven track record taking a product or service from zero to scale and owning high-ambiguity, high-impact initiatives
- Ability to set clear vision and roadmaps, lead product reviews, and drive strategic decisions
- Experience building and running key partnerships autonomously
- Strong background in AI and automation
- Mentoring capability and ability to elevate those around you
- Knowledge of, or willingness to quickly learn, Belgian healthcare systems
