Salary: USD 195,000 - 225,000 / annual
Mill is a waste prevention technology company building smart systems and infrastructure that transform food scraps into valuable resources. The company operates in both residential and commercial spaces, with tens of thousands of residential food recyclers already diverting millions of pounds of food waste annually. Mill Commercial, launching soon, will be the industry's first end-to-end solution for managing, understanding, and preventing food waste in commercial environments like grocery stores, restaurants, and food services.
The Operations Program Manager for Manufacturing will lead the manufacturing expansion execution for Mill Commercial. This role requires someone who can manage a fast-paced program with calm and clarity under pressure, interfacing with both internal teams and external partners. The OPM will be a master communicator, gathering information from vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders to deliver clear messaging that drives decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the selection process for new Manufacturing Partners (MPs) in the Commercial space
- Owning documentation including RFQ creation for official quotations and driving Master Service Agreements (MSAs) to completion with selected MPs
- Aligning with Demand and Planning teams on manufacturing ramp and supply capability, with proactive communication of lead time needs for any changes to the Plan of Record
- Planning key development build activities (DVT, PVT) with the engineering team
- Detailed program management for MP bring-up including development builds and any testing required for certification
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years experience in Manufacturing Operations, including direct management of third parties (CM/JDM/OEM) for hardware products
- Program management experience bringing up new manufacturing, either via NPI or (preferred) new manufacturing locations/partners
- Start-up experience desired
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
