Viktor is an AI teammate product that lives in Slack and Microsoft Teams, connecting to thousands of tools and automating real work across finance, marketing, ops, and engineering. The company is building a product designed to replace half the SaaS stack. You will own the legal, entity, and compliance side of employing people at Viktor across Poland, Germany, the US, and Ireland. This is a legal and compliance operator role focused on people: you own the rules and paperwork while the People Experience team owns each person's individual journey. You report to Paweł Siuciak, Head of Operations. Key responsibilities: - Maintain compliance across all four countries: contract types, mandatory documents, registrations, working-time and leave rules, payroll inputs and deadlines - Issue and amend employment contracts, manage Deel and EOR relationships, and maintain complete and accurate employee records - Own the legal side of visas and permits, working with immigration providers - Handle exits, disputes, and terminations under the appropriate country's law in coordination with counsel; run offboarding compliance - Build the levelling framework, run performance cycles, and keep policies current and clear By day 90, you will have delivered: a compliance map for every entity and country with gaps closed or scheduled; complete and audited employee and contractor records; an exit playbook per country; a US and Ireland visa and permit process agreed with a provider; and a levelling framework v1 with the first performance cycle scheduled. You are someone who learns rulebooks fast and turns them into guides people actually follow. When rules are unclear or conflicting, you do the groundwork and bring recommendations. You say "not like this" to managers or founders when something is a risk, then get the compliant alternative done. You own things to completion and keep records clean. You have strong written English and use AI tools in your work. This role is different because you build the function from close to zero with real say in decisions like how the company sets up Dublin, and you lead the Operations (People) function as the company grows from about 50 people past 100. The team is small, high-trust, and low-process. Decisions are made by owners, not committees. You will ship your first week and talk to users your first day. Viktor is one of the fastest-growing companies in the world. The product works and the market is pulling. This is a rare window where everyone owns something real—not a task, but a surface of the company that customers depend on. REQUIREMENTS: - No people-ops track record required; law, compliance, or startup ops all work - What matters is how you handle rules, risk, and messy reality - Strong written English and comfort with AI tools - Ideally: employment, immigration, or corporate law exposure; experience across multiple jurisdictions, entities, or EORs; audit exposure (SOC 2, GDPR, financial audit); startup or scale-up experience; Polish language (helpful but not required) - Not a fit if: you see the job as processing forms with no view on risk; your people background is recruiting with no rules ownership; you'd write a handbook before fixing a wrong contract; you wait for others to decide or flag risks without closing the loop
