ShipBob is hiring an Operations Manager for Fulfillment Operations at its North Aurora, Illinois facility. This role reports to the General Manager of Fulfillment Operations and is responsible for managing staff, fostering a positive work environment, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving departmental operations with a hands-on approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct several operational aspects including distribution operations, customer service, human resources, and recruiting
- Ensure merchant expectations are met and exceeded
- Manage performance KPIs, identify and track key metrics, and plan continuous improvement efforts for the facility
- Use data-driven reports and analyses to identify avenues for continuous improvement and propose solutions that address challenges and leverage growth opportunities
- Hire, train, coach, and motivate team members; set team goals and manage performance
- Establish, follow, and enforce safety standards and procedures in compliance with legal requirements and a healthy work environment
- Share knowledge with other locations and headquarters on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities, and needs
- Ensure all operational processes (receiving, storage, handling, shipping) maintain safety, quality, and legality of products; support adherence to standard operating procedures and escalate product-related issues
- Implement strategies that increase productivity and enable the company to hit revenue goals
