As Operations Manager for Vehicle Auctions with people management responsibility, you will lead a team ensuring vehicle reports, auctions, and data processes meet customer and partner expectations. You will be based in Berlin Schöneberg, working hybrid (3 days office, 2 days remote).
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure team achieves KPIs around accuracy, efficiency, and timelines
- Quality-check team outputs (reports, data maintenance, auction adjustments) against standards
- Provide day-to-day team leadership and technical guidance on complex or critical tasks during high-volume periods
- Own process problems: identify root causes, implement solutions, and develop new processes where needed
- Contribute to projects and drive process improvements within the OKR framework
- Create work schedules, prioritize tasks, and maintain structured workflows
- Communicate regularly with the team, sharing updates, best practices, and feedback
You will work with internal and external stakeholders, manage office applications, and quickly learn new systems. Requirements:
- Experience in disciplinary team leadership, or clear understanding of how it works
- Ability to motivate, develop, and set clear goals for team members
- High ownership mentality: first point of contact for your team, but also think cross-functionally; proactively solve problems when processes break
- Strong independence and reliability in process management
- Quality assurance experience, ideally in vehicles or auctions
- Confident communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficiency with office applications and quick system adoption
- German language: C1 (written and spoken); English: B1 minimum
Preferred:
- Completed automotive training or professional experience (e.g., mechanic, mechatronics technician, automotive sales), OR strong personal interest in vehicles and willingness to deeply learn vehicle assessment and quality inspection
