Fortuna Health is redefining the consumer experience for Medicaid, helping millions navigate eligibility, enrollment, and coverage renewal. The company addresses a critical problem: 60–70% of Medicaid disenrollments occur due to administrative barriers and procedural errors rather than ineligibility. Backed by a16z, BoxGroup, Y Combinator, and top healthcare angels, Fortuna is building a consumer-friendly platform to simplify Medicaid access.
As an early Operations Lead, you'll be a critical hire shaping how the company scales. You'll independently drive and nurture B2B client relationships while managing the operational engine behind the B2C product, owning problems end-to-end for thousands of people navigating coverage monthly. This is a fast-paced role with outsized visibility and real-world impact.
The role is expected to grow into a people-management position. You'll work fully in-person, 5 days per week, from the NYC office as part of a focused, supportive, tight-knit team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving B2B client relationships independently
- Managing operational workflows and processes for the consumer product
- Taking ownership of ambiguous, greenfield problems end-to-end
- Delivering seamless, user-centered experiences with a product mindset
- Operating with high velocity, speed, and attention to detail
- Developing and leading a team as the company grows
The ideal candidate is a highly driven generalist with a product-oriented mindset, strong ownership instincts, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-output environment. You should be comfortable with respectful disagreement, humble about failures, and energized by complexity and execution.
Requirements:
- 2–4+ years of experience in operations or consulting
