LatchBio is building AI and data infrastructure to accelerate biopharma R&D, combining laboratory automation, high-throughput assays, and machine learning to move biological discovery forward. The company has 100+ engineers and operators in San Francisco and recently raised a $28M Series A from Lux Capital, Coatue, and General Catalyst, with 50+ biotech companies onboarded in the past 12 months.
As an Operations Generalist, you will work directly with the COO and Chief of Staff on the company's most critical, high-stakes problems. This is not a support or ticket-queue role. You'll own real business challenges across multiple domains—one week it might be finance and hiring, the next a customer contract negotiation, infrastructure cost optimization, or vendor management. You'll be trusted to structure ambiguous problems, develop solutions, and execute them with minimal guidance.
In your first few months, you might tackle challenges such as: architecting a hiring plan to onboard 60 engineers in 90 days and executing it; analyzing cloud infrastructure costs to identify six-figure savings; building financial models for leadership decision-making; learning to redline customer contracts and keep deals moving; standing up new operational systems (vendor management, compliance tracking, office expansion); and jumping into urgent priorities to leave them better than you found them.
You'll work most closely with the three founders (Alfredo, Kyle, Kenny) and an experienced ops team (Jordan, Daniel, Saul, Jesse, Andy, Camila, Greg). The role is fully in-office, Monday through Friday.
The company offers unlimited PTO, fully paid lunches and dinners ($18K annual value), 100% premium coverage on Blue Shield platinum health ($0 deductible), 100% coverage for top-tier dental and vision, ambitious equity, 401(k), professional development, and work visa sponsorship ($15K value).

- Fast learner who can pick up new domains quickly
- Detail-oriented with ability to see the bigger picture
- Clear communicator across technical, scientific, and business audiences
- Low ego, high ownership; comfortable with ambiguity and unstructured problems
