Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking an Operations Coordinator - Assembly to support the Field Assembly organization at their Devens, Massachusetts facility. This role serves as a critical operational hub, bridging Assembly, Purchasing, Quality, Human Resources, and other functional teams. Key responsibilities include: **Production Supplies & Purchasing**: Manage purchasing of production consumables, supplies, PPE, and office materials. Monitor inventory levels to prevent production interruptions, obtain quotes, place purchase orders, and communicate with suppliers. Maintain accurate records and identify cost-reduction opportunities. **Clean Room Supply Management**: Maintain organization and inventory of clean room supplies and materials. Ensure required PPE, garments, gloves, wipes, and cleaning materials are readily available. Establish organized storage locations with visual inventory controls and coordinate replenishment to minimize production disruption. **New-Hire Onboarding**: Coordinate administrative onboarding activities in partnership with HR and department leadership. Ensure new hires have required documentation, equipment, PPE, and access before starting. Coordinate first-day activities, facility orientation, and required training while maintaining onboarding checklists. **Clean Room Training**: Lead and coordinate clean room training for new and existing employees, covering proper gowning, PPE, clean room behavior, material handling, and housekeeping. Maintain training records and coordinate refresher training as needed. **General Administrative Support**: Provide day-to-day administrative support including record maintenance, spreadsheet management, meeting scheduling, and process improvement assistance. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. **Requirements**: - High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred) - 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, operations, or administrative environment (preferred) - Experience in clean room or regulated manufacturing environment (a plus) - Strong organizational and time-management skills - Excellent attention to detail - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook - Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with employees at all levels - Ability to work independently and as part of cross-functional teams - Strong problem-solving and follow-through skills - Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs - Ability to perform stooping, climbing, typing, standing, or sitting for extended periods - Willingness to work in facility with industrial hazards (heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead, high voltage, high current, pressure systems, cryogenics) - Willingness to occasionally travel or work nights/weekends/on-call **Bonus qualifications**: Purchasing/procurement experience, inventory management experience, ERP or purchasing systems knowledge, employee training experience, knowledge of clean room procedures and GMP/quality requirements.
