Jerry is an AI-powered platform helping Americans manage their cars, homes, and physical assets—a space historically stuck in outdated processes. With 5M+ customers, $240M+ raised, and profitability achieved in 2024, Jerry operates across the US and Canada with a lean legal team that handles entity filings, IP protection, product compliance reviews, consumer escalations, and audits.
You will own core legal operations and rebuild them using AI and low-code tools, enabling a small team to scale the work of a much larger one. Reporting directly to the Legal Counsel, you'll drive projects from conception to completion with real ownership and scope.
Key responsibilities include:
- Automating manual legal tasks using AI and low-code workflows
- Managing entity compliance across US and Canadian jurisdictions (annual reports, state requests, filings)
- Conducting legal research, contract reviews, and substantive projects alongside Legal Counsel
- Monitoring and protecting Jerry's intellectual property; initiating cease-and-desist workflows
- Investigating complex consumer escalations, identifying root causes, and turning recurring issues into compliance training
- Reviewing products and processes for compliance risk and user friction; collaborating with Engineering and Product on fixes
- Leading compliance audits and monitoring high-risk areas between audit cycles

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree from an academically rigorous program with a record of high performance
- Demonstrated track record of owning projects start-to-finish and solving problems independently (at school, work, or personal projects)
- Demonstrated interest in using AI and technology to improve work processes (e.g., a tool, automation, or process you have built)
- Must currently reside in Ontario, Canada (or eligible US states: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MA, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA)
